Dear Clinton Parents & Guardians
The autumn season is here! PPSD is now entering Phase 2 – Hybrid Half Days. “In-Person Instruction” will begin on November 9, which is the beginning of the second marking period. We will be operating on an AA/BB Day half day schedule with an AM Virtual Day on Wednesdays for students, and PM Professional Development for teachers. This means students will physically go into the buildings two days per week from 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Accommodations will be made for families who wish to have ALL of their children in school on the same days.
During our Phase 2 period, we will continue to utilize the Schoology platform, which allows the entire district to remain unified under one instructional umbrella for all subjects. We will continue to provide daily grab and go lunch and breakfast for students. Students who attend in person will take the lunch/breakfast bag home following their 12:30 PM dismissal.

With the ongoing concerns about COVID-19 (the Coronavirus), we want you to know that the safety and health of our students is our top priority. Here is a list of a few preventative measures that are in place for when students and staff return:
- It is mandatory for staff and students to wear their masks at all times.
- Social distancing signs are displayed throughout the entire school.
- Hand-sanitizing stations will be located in the front of each classroom.
- In our bathrooms, “Wash Your Hands” signage will be displayed prominently.
- Our facilities teams will check the restrooms hourly for sanitation and cleaning.
- All water fountains have been turned off. Students are welcome to bring water bottles. Please make sure your child’s name is written clearly on their water bottle.
- Each student will be provided classroom desk shields for increased social distancing.

Please know we are taking every precaution to keep your child safe during this pandemic. The Governor and the NJ Department of Health has required everyone to wear a mask and we are asking that you please send your child to school with a mask when entering the building.
I want to thank you in advance for your patience and support, as we get ready to launch this Phase 2 Hybrid Half Day academic experience. We are learning in unprecedented times and our ultimate goal is to work as a team to ensure the success of our scholars.
Let us continue to remain healthy, proactive and most importantly prayerful.
With you for Children,
Dr. Janet R. Grooms,
Principal
